The Moyhu Wine Company is located in the heart of the King Valley in North East Victoria. The vineyards planted by the Heathcote family over a decade ago are set on the banks of the King River surrounded by towering river red gums and some of the finest wine grape growing land in Australia. The Moyhu Wine Company is also home to the Koala Creek export brand.
Enjoying a cool climate, similar to some of the great regions of France, wines from Moyhu are developing a reputation for finesse and longevity, and maintaining varietal characteristics.
At Moyhu we have a strong history of conservation. Our philosophy of “treading lightly on the land” has been developed over our association with farming for over three decades.
The winery utilizes a state of the art water recycling system that flows to our eucalypt plantation located near the winery.
The King River supplies the vineyards and winery with a failsafe supply of pure water straight from the mountains to the south of Moyhu.
North east Victoria has so much to offer, and being about 2.5 hours from Melbourne, four hours from Canberra and about seven hours from Sydney, it is a great wine and food destination.
